Bonjour Mon Ami!

Elvis Costello apparently had some nasty things to say about Wreckless Eric in his autobiography- this earns Costello no points in my book, as Eric seemed to me the heart of good naturedness, a lovable imp, if a little wasted. I guess Eric called Costello overly ambitious in his own book, but who could argue with that? He may not be nearly as prolific as Elvis, but I'll put his best up with just about anybody from the period.  "Reconnez Cherie" is my favorite (3 versions below), though "Whole Wide World", "Take The Cash" and "Someone Must Have Nailed Us Together" all rank up there.
